God is My ____________ SERIES

Jeremiah 9:23-24 (NLT)
 This is what the Lord says: “Don’t let the wise boast in their wisdom, or the powerful boast in their power, or the rich boast in their riches. 24 But those who wish to boast should boast in this alone: that they truly know me and understand that I am the Lord who demonstrates unfailing love and who brings justice and righteousness to the earth, and that I delight in these things. I, the Lord, have spoken!

Somebody said that you cannot trust whom you do not know, this the very reason why God wants us to know Him. He has been revealing Himself to us so that we will grow in trusting Him. Knowing God will not only build our faith but it will also strengthen our confidence in facing life.

In this series we will discover together the 9 covenant names of God. These are the names of God that reveal not only His nature but His intent in what He wants to do with those who have a personal relationship with Him.

God is My Provider
 KJV Genesis 22
14 And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovah jireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen.

God is My Healer
Exodus 15:24-26 (NKJV)
And the people complained against Moses, saying, “What shall we drink?” 25 So he cried out to the Lord, and the Lord showed him a tree. When he cast it into the waters, the waters were made sweet.There He made a statute and an ordinance for them, and there He tested them, 26 and said, “If you diligently heed the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the Lord who heals you.”

God is My Victory

15 Moses built an altar and called it The LORD is my Banner.  16 He said, "For hands were lifted up to the throne of the LORD.  The LORD will be at war against the Amalekites from generation to generation."

God is My Peace
Judges 6
22 When Gideon realized that it was the angel of the LORD, he exclaimed, "Ah, Sovereign LORD! I have seen the angel of the LORD face to face!"  23 But the LORD said to him, "Peace! Do not be afraid. You are not going to die." 24 So Gideon built an altar to the LORD there and called it The LORD is Peace. To this day it stands in Ophrah of the Abiezrites.

God is My Shepherd

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

God is My Warrior
1 Samuel 17:45-46 (NKJV)
Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. 46 This day the Lord will deliver you into my hand, and I will strike you and take your head from you. And this day I will give the carcasses of the camp of the Philistines to the birds of the air and the wild beasts of the earth, that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel.

God is My Future
Ezekiel 48:35 (NKJV) All the way around shall be eighteen thousand cubits; and the name of the city from that day shall be: THE LORD IS THERE.”

God is My Righteousness
Jeremiah 23:5-6 (NKJV)
“Behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord, “That I will raise to David a Branch of righteousness; A King shall reign and prosper, And execute judgment and righteousness in the earth. 6 In His days Judah will be saved,And Israel will dwell safely;Now this is His name by which He will be called: THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.

God is My Sanctifier
Leviticus 20:7-8 (NKJV)
Consecrate yourselves therefore, and be holy, for I am the Lord your God. 8 And you shall keep My statutes, and perform them: I am the Lord who sanctifies you.
